Innovative and customized solutions for filter systems
VALCO is one of the leading manufacturers of filter systems for almost all industrial sectors. In addition to a standard filter program, we also offer bag filters according to customer specifications, special installation conditions and the type of dust. Whether for filtration of small air volumes as well as large air volume ranges from 200m³/h to 300,000 m³/h. Our bag filters are available in various designs. All filter units can be fully planned and customized to your needs. Our filter units are also available for outdoor installation.
What are bag filters?
As filtering separators, bag filters have become established in gas cleaning (smoke) and for dust removal in numerous industrial processes. VALCO bag filters are used with the highly effective, automatic R-Jet-Pulse cleaning system where dusts that are difficult to clean must be filtered in a process-safe manner. Our bag filters are best suited for very light and oily dusts where the use of cartridge filters would cause difficulties. We also have bag filter systems for high temperature applications. Z. For example, in biomass utilization.
In bag filter systems, the filter medium is formed into a tube. Bag filters are made of synthetic fiber material woven into tubes. For hot gas filtration, wire mesh made of metal is used.
Special filter media for different areas and applications
Our bag filters are – depending on the application – equipped with different filter media. For example, we supply antistatic, high-temperature and acid-resistant bag filters as well as abrasion-resistant filter media.
Important success factors here are the process-safe discharge into the 50-liter dust bucket (dust collection container with quick release closure), a big bag or similar containers such as a 200-liter drum. In addition, we use different discharge components, such as rotary valves or screw conveyors.
What are the different designs of bag filters available?
Our bag filters are manufactured in robust, fully welded 3 mm sheet steel, blasted, primed and painted in RAL 5010 as standard. Other colors and designs, such as stainless steel design or in explosion-proof design are of course also possible.
As a rule, the air inlet of our bag filter systems is into a separate pre-separator. The pre-separator is equipped with S-baffles over the entire surface or as a centrifugal separator (round design). Coarse particles are separated dynamically and thus pass directly into the dust discharge. This reduces the load on the filter elements.
With our automatic R-Jet rinsing system, optimum filter cleaning is achieved at approx. 6-8 bar of compressed air. The filter bags are installed vertically.
Our bag filters at a glance:
Bag filter FPLAX:
Bag filter in square design.
The filter bags are changed laterally via a large maintenance door.
Bag filter FPLAV:
Same as bag filter type FPLAX. The filter bags are changed from the top on the clean gas side.
Bag filter JEX:
Bag filter in round design. Cyclone technology allows inflow via a tangential inlet. Filter removal takes place laterally on the raw gas side.
Bag filter JEV:
Same as bag filter type JEX. The filter bags, which are installed vertically, are changed from above on the clean gas side.
Bag filter FPLEAT:
The FPLEAT is a bag filter in angular design with pleated filter elements. Due to the folds, a higher filter area is achieved. Effective filter elements of filter class M with a high degree of separation are used.
What does Jet-Pulse cleaning mean?
During suction operation, a layer of dust forms on the filter elements, a so-called dust cake. In order to keep the suction capacity of the system constant, the filter elements must be cleaned from time to time. The proven and modern Jet Pulse cleaning system is used here. This system has become widely accepted as the standard.
In this process, the filter elements are efficiently cleaned with intensive pulses of compressed air. The direction of flow is abruptly reversed by the brief blasts of compressed air. This inflates the filter elements, the filter cake detaches and falls into the dust container. This process is usually controlled automatically. Time control or manual operation is also possible.
For which applications are VALCO bag filters suitable?
The possible applications extend across a wide range of industries, such as the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, the plastics industry or the automotive industry.
Chemical industry
Plastics industry
Automotive industry
Pharmaceutical industry
How does a bag filter differ from a cartridge filter?
Due to the folded filter medium, cartridge filters offer a larger filter area in a spatially compact design. In addition, cartridge filters have higher separation efficiencies. Up to filter class H14 and are thus ideally suited for the separation of carcinogenic dusts generated in some welding processes.
Filter bags, on the other hand, can also be used for substances that are particularly difficult to clean or for the high-temperature range.
What are the advantages of a bag filter?
A great advantage of our bag filters is their robust construction, which guarantees years of use. We design our filtration systems to ensure a long service life, allowing you to avoid unnecessary maintenance costs.
What is the field of application of a bag filter?
Engineering of complete plants
Tailored to your specific requirements
Particularly low maintenance & long service life
Energy saving through our bag filters
Due to their high filtration efficiency, all our bag filters are also suitable for recirculating air operation.
In addition, we usually supply our equipment with frequency converter. This allows fully automatic or manual adaptation of the suction power to the changing production conditions.
Additional after-filters to achieve higher collection efficiencies (e.g. with HEPA HEPA filters of filter class H14 and higher) can be included in the design and supplied.
In addition, we also plan and supply heat recovery systems if required. We will be happy to illustrate the high energy-saving potential by calculating ventilation heat losses.
Our maintenance service
After installation, acceptance and commissioning of VALCO extraction and filtration systems, we are also happy to offer you further service and maintenance services.
Our experienced service staff will be happy to carry out the legally required annual inspection of the filter system and extraction equipment, even for third-party brands.
