Position Paper “ATEX Directive – Filtering Separators”.

Status February 2017

This position paper of the VDMA (Air Pollution Control Department) is intended to form the basis for the application of the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (Manufacturer’s Directive) to filtering separators. The explanations in the position paper are based on the text of Directive 2014/34/EU and the guidelines adopted by the European Commission in this regard (April 2016). Insofar as conclusions are drawn or positions formulated on the basis of these guidelines, these are the result of an intensive discussion within the VDMA.
